"Advanced Training" for the Experienced Financial Aid Professional

Offered by NCSEAA as a Pre–Conference Training Opportunity

Sunday, April 13: 12:30 pm – 4:30 PM and Monday, April 14: 8:45 AM – 11:00 AM

Join your colleagues for in-depth training on selected technical topics including "Federal Cash Management", "R2T4", "Recordkeeping and FERPA Requirements", "Reporting and Consumer Disclosure Requirements" and the most up-to-date "Late Breaking Information". The Workshop will be held on April 13 and 14 as a NCASFAA Pre-Conference Training opportunity.

The Workshop is designed for experienced financial aid professionals, especially those with direct responsibility for administration of these areas. The subject material will be taught with the assumption that attendees understand basic financial aid concepts.

Whether the material is new to you or you simply want a refresher course to ensure your office still meets the requirements, your attendance is encouraged!

Workshop presenters include Bruce Blackmon, Bill Cox, Diane Miller and Rose Mary Stelma.

Bruce Blackmon is the Director of Financial Aid at UNC-Pembroke. He has worked in financial aid since 1986 and served in a number of leadership positions of NCASFAA and SASFAA, including President of NCASFAA.

Bill Cox is Deputy Director of Grants, Training and Outreach at NCSEAA. He began his career in financial at the Northern Kentucky University in Kentucky. Bill has served NCASFAA and SASFAA in leadership positions including President of both associations.

Diane Miller is Associate General Counsel for NCSEAA. Before joining the Authority, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the NC Department of Justice for sixteen years where she advised and represented a variety of State agencies.

Rose Mary Stelma has recently joined the staff at CFI as Financial Aid Services Director after having worked in campus financial aid offices for more than 20 years. She has held numerous leadership positions in NCASFAA, SASFAA and NASFAA including President of NCASFAA.
